If you are considering taking paid surveys to earn some extra cash, you may want to start now. Christmas and the holidays are just around the corner, and you may need the extra money. Here why it is better to start sooner than later:
- Survey companies pay on different time lines. You are not always paid immediately. Some surveys pay when the survey is closed, others credit your account immediately, and some pay via paypal weekly. It really all depends. The bottom line is, if you complete a survey today, the survey panel still has to process your payment. Whether paypal or check, even though your account is credited, it may take 1 - 8 weeks for the actual check to come. Average however is 4 weeks or less.
- You can have more money coming to you now instead of later. You can take surveys anytime from home, so why wait? There really is no reason not to earn some extra cash when it's this easy.
- Some survey panels close -- you will be left out. Some panels keep a certain number of participants for each demographic and no more. They are not always taking new members, and the number of panelists desiring to register seems to increase just before the holidays. Register for the panels now, even if you are not ready yet.
- Businesses want info BEFORE the holidays. The whole reason they survey us is to find out what people want to buy, so you should have a ton of opportunities in advance of the holidays, as opposed to just before. Makes sense, right?
- You may get too busy... another excuse. You will be busy during the holidays just like everyone else. So, if you don't make a habit out of fitting in a few surveys now, you may wait until much later. Won't help much with those holiday gifts!
Taking surveys from home is simple extra money, and can be quite lucrative when you are pro-active about it. Just look for a free survey company list, register for as many panels as you can (register for them all and then go confirm all your registrations at once in your email, saves time), and start earning. Remember, all the survey companies, whether they appear to have only sweepstakes or not, occasionally offer focus groups (the big money), product testing and paid (cash) surveys -- but you have to be registered to get the opportunities. You can pick and choose once the surveys come. If you don't feel the compensation is worth your time, don't do that particular one. Keep your options open and you'll earn more money.
One more tip: you may want to set up a separate email address just for your surveys because you will be getting a lot of email
